Au XIXe siècle, le philosophe américain Henry David Thoreau a construit dans une forêt du Massachusetts une cabane de ses propres mains dans laquelle il a vécu deux ans. Il voulait interroger l’essentiel : ses besoins, son identité d’être humain et sa place dans la nature.

Qu’est-ce qu’une cabane ? Une bulle pour se ressourcer ? Un abri ? Un endroit de rencontre ? Et si nous inventions notre propre cabane ?

Dans ce sens, le théâtre est aussi une cabane : un espace commun, un lieu de rencontre et de partage. Une maison-abri ouverte à toutes et tous et qui s’organise de façon collective.

Avec plus 5 000 boîtes en carton et des règles du jeu à disposition, nous invitons le public à produire des constructions inattendues.

Édifiées carton après carton, ces constructions fragiles et éphémères permettent d’expérimenter de nouvelles façons de produire du dialogue. Suscitant la curiosité, elles invitent à créer, à investir, à partager.

In the 19th century, the American philosopher Henry David Thoreau built a cabin in a Massachusetts forest with his own hands, in which he lived for two years to question the essentials: his needs, his identity as a human being and his place in nature.

What is a cabin? A bubble to recharge your batteries? A shelter? A place to meet? What if we invented our own cabin?

In this sense, the theater is also a cabin: a common space, a place to meet and share. A house-shelter open to all and which is organized in a collective way.

With more than 5,000 cardboard boxes and game rules at your disposal, we invite the public to produce unexpected constructions.

Built cardboard after cardboard, these fragile and ephemeral constructions allow to experiment new ways of producing dialogue. Stimulating curiosity, they invite to create, to invest, to share.
