D A N U B I A  -  V O Y A G E   &   P R O J E T

Entre mai et août 2021 nous avons voyagé avec le bateau AMORADOS de Strasbourg jusqu’au Delta du Danube.

Du 1er au 16 mai 2021, nous avons navigué sur le Rhin, le Maine et le canal Maine-Danube jusqu'à Kelheim en Allemagne, au PK 2410 (Point Kilometrique) à partir duquel la navigation motorisée est autorisée sur le fleuve.

La deuxième et principale partie du voyage a débuté le 7 juin 2021 et nous a conduits  jusqu'au Delta du Danube où le Danube se verse dans la Mer Noire sur le territoire de la Roumanie. Nous y sommes arrivés par le bras Sfântu Gheorghe qui mène au village du même nom et ensuite (une deuxième voie!) par le bras de Sulina jusqu'à la ville de Sulina où est officiellement situé le PK 0 du fleuve.

Notre voyage s'est achevé le 24 août 2021, au bout de 115 jours et 2.894 kilomètres.

Nous avons collecté des images, des sons, des sensations, des expériences, des rencontres avec des personnes qui nous ont transmis des «histoires» du fleuve : historiens, géographes, naturalistes, artistes, mariniers, pêcheurs, ouvriers, riverains, etc. Ces récoltes sensibles serviront à nourrir l’écriture du spectacle DANUBIA (Miroir des eaux).

Nos enfants, âgés de 9 et 13 ans ont participé au voyage et au projet et ont partagé leurs points de vue et expérience avec le public rassemblé par nos partenaires lors des rencontres, à la télé et radio locales. En France, plusieurs classes et groupes de jeunes ont été connectés avec nous et ont suivi le voyage.

La carte-site de notre voyage : www.danubia.org a été dessinée au fur et à mesure, ponctuée de séquences vidéo enregistrées en cours de route. À plusieurs étape du voyage nous avons projeté le film monté jusqu'au point d'arrivée et qui augmentait progressivement avec notre avancée sur le fleuve, selon un rapport de 1 seconde de film pour 1 km de fleuve parcouru.

Between May and August 2021 we traveled with the AMORADOS boat from Strasbourg to the Danube Delta. 

From May 1 to 16 we sailed on the Rhine, Maine and the Maine-Danube Canal to Kelheim in Germany, at PK 2410 (Kilometric Point) from which motorized navigation is authorized on the river. 

The second and main part of the trip started on June 7, 2021 and took us to the Danube Delta where the Danube flows into the Black Sea on the territory of Romania.  We arrived there by the Sfântu Gheorghe arm which leads to the village of the same name and then (a second way!) by Sulina arm to the town of Sulina where the PK 0 of the river is officially located. 

Our journey ended there on August 24, 2021, after 115 days and 2.894 kilometers. 

We have collected images, sounds, sensations, experiences, encounters with people who have transmitted “stories” of the river to us: historians, geographers, naturalists, artists, sailors, fishermen, workers, residents, etc. 

These sensitive harvests will be used to nourish the writing of the show DANUBIA (Mirror in the Waters).

Our children, aged 9 and 13, participated in the trip and the project and shared their points of view and experience with the public gathered by our partners during the meetings, on local TV and radio.  In France, several classes and groups of young people were connected with us and followed the trip.

The site map of our trip: www.danubia.org was drawn little by little, spoted with video sequences recorded along the way. At several stages of the trip we screened the film edited to the point of arrival and which gradually increased with our advance on the river, regarding an average of 1 second of film for 1 km of the river.
